Social & Educational Action devotes its actions to the support
of Muslim Romany living in the centre of Athens through the operation
of the Support Center for Children and Family. It provides direct
services through the Children’s Day Center, the Family Center and
the Youth Club. The goals of the Support Center for Children and Family
are: a) to help children, contribute to their social and educational
integration, with respect to their social and cultural characteristics,
and b) to support the families of these children creating a healthy
environment for their development. The fulfillment of these goals
is based on the development and provision of: a) school preparation
programs for the children, b) vocational training programs for teenagers
and young adults, c) counseling in family-, as well as social/ legal/
employment matters. |
